I was reading a spiritual book this morning and the author was asking the questions does God still do miracles? I was listening to the music below while reading spiritual inspiration. I realize that many of us learn about God, but fail to "WORSHIP" God. It's like being in a relationship with a spouse and knowing about them, but not adoring them....
It's like we forgot how to sweep them off their feet, cherish them and fully appreciate them. It's like a relationship that becomes too familiar and ceases to have the magic and spark.

Do I really "Appreciate" God fully?
Miracles are the spark of being fully in relationship with God.

✨ Is God Still a God of Miracles?

Reframing Doubt, Activating Faith, and Living the Divine Character Arc

In a world hungry for evidence of the divine, a haunting question echoes:

“Why don’t we see miracles like in ancient times?”

It’s not new. Mormon, the prophet and compiler of an ancient record, asked the same thing:

“And if there were miracles wrought then, why has God ceased to be a God of miracles?”
(Mormon 9:19)

But he answers with piercing clarity:

“...it is because they dwindle in unbelief, and depart from the right way, and know not the God in whom they should trust.”
(Mormon 9:20)

At first glance, this feels like judgment. But what if it's actually an invitation?

❓What If God Never Stopped?

The traditional way to read this might sound like: "God stopped doing miracles because we failed." But the deeper truth isn’t about God ceasing, it’s about us disengaging.

The verse doesn’t describe an angry God withholding blessings—it’s revealing a spiritual law:

Miracles flow through faith.

They’re not rewards for perfection; they’re responses to alignment.
When we believe, trust, and act with spiritual courage,
we tune into the wavelength of heaven.

Three Elements to Miracle Activation

Let's review the key elements of Miracle activation:

  1. Believe in God
  2. Return and Walk in His Ways
  3. Know God's Character and Attributes, so that we can fully trust in Him

Miracles are not random bursts of divine favor—they are the natural outflow of a heart aligned with heaven.

To activate miracles in our lives, we begin by believing in God—not just in His existence, but in His active presence and willingness to work in our lives.

Next, we must return to Him and walk in His ways. This means repenting, obeying His commandments, and following the covenant path that positions us to receive His power.

Finally, we must come to know God’s character and attributes. When we deeply understand that He is merciful, faithful, and unchanging, we can fully trust Him—even in the unknown. Trust becomes the bridge between prayer and miracle, and that trust is built on the certainty of who God is. When these three elements come together, we don’t just hope for miracles—we begin to live in them.

📖 Divine Trust: His Six Divine Attributes

According to the Lectures on Faith, true faith unto salvation—and by extension, the faith that unlocks miracles—must be grounded in a correct understanding of God’s character. Specifically, we must know that He possesses six essential attributes:

  1. truth
  2. judgment (authoritative discernment)
  3. justice
  4. knowledge,
  5. faith (or power)
  6. mercy

These attributes form the foundation of divine trust.

His truth means He is unchanging, dependable, and perfectly aligned with eternal law. His judgment ensures that He acts with divine discernment, always knowing what is right and when to act. His justice assures us that He governs with fairness and exactness. His knowledge gives Him full awareness of all things past, present, and future. His power (or faith) enables Him to accomplish all His promises, and His mercy opens the door for redemption, healing, and undeserved blessings.

When we come to know God through these attributes—not just as a concept, but as a covenantal reality—our trust in Him deepens, our doubts diminish, and we begin to live in the expectation of miracles rather than the wish for them.

🎵 You Were Made to Need a Miracle

At the heart of this journey is a humbling truth: we were made to need miracles. This powerful message is captured in the inspired song “Made to Need a Miracle” by Nicole Hansen. The song reminds us that needing a miracle isn't a sign of weakness—it’s part of the divine design.

Trials that feel impossible are often the sacred setup for spiritual awakening. As the lyrics proclaim:

“You were made to need a miracle
To prove you walk with God
To learn His mind and feel His heart
And know Him when He calls.”

This soul-stirring anthem reframes hardship not as failure, but as divine invitation—an opportunity to walk closer with God, learn His mind, feel His heart, and become familiar with His presence.

It echoes the character arc each of us is meant to live: stretching toward the impossible with the faith that God will come—for us—and work His wonders in His time and His way.

🔁 Reframing the Verse: From Withholding to Awakening

God does not withhold miracles out of frustration.

Instead, He waits for hearts to turn back to Him, ready to pour out His power the moment we open ourselves to it.

Let’s turn the verse on its head—not to change doctrine, but to recover the hope behind the warning:

"God continues to perform miracles among those who believe, who trust Him, and walk His path. Where faith is alive and hearts are soft, miracles are not rarethey are expected."

📖 The Miracle of Becoming: You Are the Living Story

In The Character Arc Narrative, we’re reminded that God is not just writing our story—we are becoming the story:

“We are not merely readers of this divine story; we are participant authors with Christ, writing our transformation into the pages of eternity.”

Miracles aren’t just “signs and wonders”—they’re milestones in your transformation. Your faith, your repentance, your steps toward God—they are the unfolding character arc of your soul.

Just as a hero transforms through trial, you grow by walking the covenant path. And along that path, miracles are the evidence of heaven’s nearness.

🏛️ Miracles and the Temple Pattern

The Tabernacle of Moses and the temple follow a divine arc.
Each station of the temple marks a point in your spiritual journey:

  • The Gate: Your first act of faith
  • The Altar of Sacrifice: Your offering of will and heart
  • The Laver: Ongoing purification
  • The Holy Place and the Holy of Holies: A deepening into divine intimacy and miraculous living
“Just as a character arc in a story is shaped by trials, growth, and change, the ordinances provide us with the necessary tools and experiences to overcome challenges, refine our character, and become more like Christ.”
(The Character Arc Narrative)

The more you walk this path, the more miracles you begin to see
—not just around you, but within you.

🌱 A Seed of Faith Awakens Miracles

Mormon's message is not about guilt; it's about restoration. Faith is the fertile soil where miracles spring up.

“If ye will awake and arouse your faculties... even if ye can no more than desire to believe, let this desire work in you...”
(Alma 32:27)

God isn’t waiting for perfection—He’s waiting for desire.
Miracles begin as a whisper of belief, a flicker of light in the dark.

🌟 You Are My Everything / Love of My Life

Philippians 3:8 (NIV)

"What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord..."

Echoes the lyric:
“I wouldn’t trade You for silver or gold… You are my everything.”
When Christ becomes our treasure, miracles naturally follow.

👑 We Fall Down / Holy, Holy, Holy

Revelation 4:10–11 (ESV)

“...the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who is seated on the throne... ‘Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power…’”

“We fall down, we lay our crowns at the feet of Jesus…”
This mirrors the posture of a miracle-ready heart—surrendered worship.

💡 Here I Am to Worship / Light of the World

John 8:12 (KJV)

"I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness..."

Like the lyric:
“Light of the world, You stepped down into darkness…”
Jesus enters our story to rewrite it from the inside out—with healing light.

💡
Little hint: we are co-authors with Jesus to rewrite our own stories.

🤍 The Power of Covenant: Covered and Empowered by Christ

One of the most beautiful—and often overlooked—miracles is the covenantal bond between Christ and His disciples. When we enter into covenant with Him, we don’t merely join a religion; we enter a sacred relationship—one that empowers, protects, and transforms.

“As we participate in these sacred acts, they invite us to shed the limitations of our earthly nature and embrace our divine potential...”
(The Character Arc Narrative)

Covenants are not just ceremonial. They are divine contracts sealed with Christ’s own blood, promising us access to His power, His name, His Spirit, and His covering.

“He is the Author who descends into our story to face our trials with us... Our weaknesses serve a divine purpose: they allow the Author to descend into our personal stories and seal us to His strength.”
(The Character Arc Narrative)

When we stumble, He covers us.
When we feel weak, He strengthens us.
When darkness surrounds us, His covenant light shields us.

When we take upon us His name through baptism, endowment, and sealing—we don’t just receive identity. We receive divine backing. Our lives become living testimonies, empowered by heaven.

“Through these ordinances, we are invited to follow His pattern of growth, sacrifice, and redemption… We become a living record of Christ’s testimony.”
(The Character Arc Narrative)

✍️ You Are Becoming a Living Book

“Our lives are not static—each choice, each moment, each ordinance is a chapter in the living book we are becoming.”
(The Character Arc Narrative)

You are not just waiting for a miracle—you are becoming one.
As you live with trust in God, you are writing a story filled with light.
One that bears record of Him.
One that speaks of His power.
One that ends in glory.

🕊 Miracles Are the Natural Language of Faith

Christ is the Author and Finisher of your faith.
He writes not just with ink—but with light, healing, and power.

“Christ is both the Author and the ultimate Hero... guiding, redeeming, and perfecting us along the way.”
(The Character Arc Narrative)

When you align with Him, miracles aren’t anomalies
—they are your inheritance.

Let's Review

🧭 How Do We Align With Miracles?

  1. Rebuild Belief
Miracles begin in the soil of faith. Not blind faith—but the kind that trusts God enough to move forward, even when unsure.
  2. Walk in His Way
God’s path leads us to His presence. As we live in integrity, love, service, and prayer, we walk in the same energy where miracles manifest.
  3. Know Who to Trust
When we know God, not just about Him, we access something deeper than theology—we feel His will written on our hearts.

💬 Reflection Prompt

Where in your life is God quietly performing miracles?
Where can you plant a small seed of faith and watch it grow?

God is still a God of miracles.
He is still writing your story.... with you.
